I always see this news when my two huge gas guzzling pick ups are near empty.

Gasoline prices have risen a dime per gallon in the past week.

According to GasBuddy, the price of gas in the area climbed to $3.13 per gallon on Sunday, a full 10 cents higher than the reading on Dec. 22nd.

While some places were recording gasoline prices less than $3 per gallon in early December, those prices are now showing much higher rates.

GasBuddy Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan said, "The trend won't last forever though, as January and February feature generally weak demand that should limit increases and keep prices relatively moderate for the next month or two."
