Garth Brooks kicked off his tour in Denver at Children's Hospital Colorado. A pep rally was held in the afternoon Wednesday, March 20 with Garth as the guest of honor, as they also celebrated the grand opening of the hospital's teen center.

The red carpet was laid out, and Children's Hospital Colorado was ready for Garth Brooks.

The pep rally included the mascots from the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies and Children's Hospital Colorado. A cheerleading squad was also on hand to entertain the patients, families and staff.

Hundreds of people lined the red carpet and the hallways in the floors above with anticipation to see the country superstar and legend.

Then it happened...

The crowd started to cheer as the iconic black cowboy hat appeared and started making its way down the red carpet.

Cameras were going like crazy as Garth stopped to talk with just about every child along the red carpet.

Some were holding signs that Garth signed. Some were confined to hospital beds that Garth knelt next to and talked to for a moment.

The feeling in the room was surreal and would end up being a moment that everyone in the room will likely remember forever.

Check out all the pictures below of this amazing and incredible celebration for the kids and watch the video above of him greeting the kids on the red carpet.
