Spring is here and if you are considering a Xeriscape garden this year, the City of Greeley can make it easy. Join their seminars in April for ideas and sales to help you.

So what exactly is Xeriscape? It's just a fancy word for landscaping that minimal water and/or no irrigation by you. Of course this saves water and time so you can spend it with family and friends and enjoy Spring and Summer with less hassle keeping things looking nice around your home or business.

The City of Greeley Water Conservation Program is once again hosting some seminars in April and also a garden sale to get you started.

"Garden In A Box" is the way to go! These are professionally designed gardens where someone has basically done all the work for  you. The gardens consist of low water plants etc. and all you have to do is order them, plant and enjoy for years to come.

The gardens start around $99 and go up to about $150 with multiple designs available so you can choose accordingly for the space you want to fill and if you are a resident of Greeley, you are eligible for a $25 discount.

To learn more, make plans to attend one of two seminars in April that are about two hours long. The first will be held on April 15 at the Centennial Park Library (2227 23rd Ave.) at 6:00 p.m.  and the second one on April 22 at the Farr Regional Library (1939 61st Ave.) also at 6:00 p.m.

You can order your gardens online and then pick them up on May 9 at Greeley's Xeriscape Garden but they are expected to sell out through this program so click on the link below for more information.
