Front Range is Digging Out With More Snow on the Way
The storm system that is slowing down travelers this morning has dropped
15 inches of new snow in Rocky Mountain National Park and is expected to linger
into Wednesday. Snow totals around the area are up around a foot so far in many
places with more to come. There will be another band of snow developing this
afternoon into tomorrow, bringing an additional 1 to 3 inches.
Yesterday, Berthoud and Loveland Passes were closed, as well as
parts of I-70 and I-25. Today we have a few school closures and
some late starts.The snowpack is now 77% of average, up from 69% a week ago.
The Rockies postponed their game with the Mets yesterday at Coors Field
because of all the snow and flights were delay at D.I.A.
I’m keeping Ibuprofen handy as I joyfully shovel, shovel, shovel with the
promise of a green pasture this summer.
