Free Roadside Assistance for Northern Coloradans Along I-25

Northern Coloradans can now receive free basic roadside assistance on Interstate 25, which may help reduce congestion and delay times.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, their Motorist Safety Program has expanded its operations to north I-25 between Highway 66 near Longmont and Highway 14 in Fort Collins. Drivers along that stretch of the interstate can receive free roadside assistance for services like flat tires, fuel or water transfer, jump starts, short-distance towing, accident scene protection, and minor mechanical assistance.

Motorist Safety personnel are dispatched from CDOT's Traffic Operations Center in Golden by request from the Colorado State Patrol and local law enforcement, and are available from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

CDOT's Motoris Safety Program has operated successfully west of Denver along I-70 for several years. Due to its effectiveness in enhancing driver safety and reducing congestion and delay times, CDOT is expanding the program to both Northern and Southern Colorado.
