On Saturday June 1, 2013 in the parking lot at the southeast corner of the Fort Collins Youth Activities Center at 415 East Monroe Street the City of Fort Collins is allowing Fort Collins residents to drop of household hazardous waste products free of charge so that they may be disposed of properly.

Thing that can be dropped off include paint, pesticides, compact flourescent lights, cleaning products, automotive products and more.

Disposing of them properly keeps our homes healthier and does the same for our environment. I spoke with Environmental Regulatory Specialist Erin Henggeler from the city of Fort Collins and she shared how easy and convenient this biannual event is.
