Fort Collins Teenager Dies While Fishing In Pond At Westfield Park

Ugh, horrific news from Fort Collins today; A teenager who was fishing fell into a pond southwest of Horsetooth & Shields and died.

Our thoughts and well wishes go out to this boy’s family and friends.

According to the Coloradoan, the boy was sitting in a chair fishing in the Westfield Park area southwest of Horsetooth and Shields and fell face-first into the pond. Firefighters arrived around 10AM and pulled the boy out and tried to resuscitate him, but had no luck. He was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies where he was pronounced dead.

The boy’s exact age and identity have yet to be released.
