Fort Collins funk band Archie Funker is getting some major exposure as their lead singer, Lindsey Cartier, has made her way to “Hollywood Week” on the popular television singing competition “American Idol.” Cartier’s fans will learn if she moves into “Idol’s” top 25 on shows airing at 7 p.m. tonight and Thursday on Fox.

Cartier, 27,  who calls Fort Collins home is also a nutritionist at a local grocery store along with singing in her band.

From Coloradoan.com:

This week, which has contestants competing in solo and group auditions, was recorded in December, but Cartier, who won over the “Idol” judges at the earlier Aspen audition with her renditions of Kris Kristofferson’s “Me and Bobby McGee” and Etta James’ “Shaky Ground,” is contractually obligated not to reveal the results until after the show airs.

Cartier said she will watch the show tonight at home with family and friends and will host a small private “American Idol” watching party Thursday.
