UPDATE: The 91-year-old man found lying in the snow earlier this morning has been identified and his wife is with him at the hospital. The man who lives in the 900 block of East Elizabeth left the home late last evening and was found this morning by a newspaper delivery driver on a sidewalk near the intersection of Garfield and Stover Streets. The subject was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies by ambulance where he is being treated. His condition is unknown.

Original Release: Fort Collins Police are asking for your help in identifying an unknown elderly male who was found early this morning.

Early this morning around 5:01 a.m., a 9-1-1 caller reported finding an elderly male lying in the snow at the intersection of Garfield St. and Stover St. in Fort Collins. The man believed to be in his 80’s was found unconscious but breathing. He did not have any identification on him. Paramedics transported him to MCR for treatment. His condition is unknown.

 

The male is described as a white male, approximately 80 years old, 6 foot tall, weighing 140 pounds. He is mostly bald with gray hair and was wearing plaid button up pajama tops, plaid pajama bottoms, blue jacket, white undershirt, gray/white knit hat, and brown Rockport shoes.

There are no apparent signs of foul play. It appears the male wandered away from his home.
