Wouldn't you love to drive by a beautiful piece of nature right on the Poudre River and think "I helped name that?"  Well, now you can!

Fort Collins is creating a new natural area on the North end of the city, near Old Town, and officials need our help to name it!

Names could be based on geological features, historical use of the site or settlements of native people. Names of streets, parks, subdivisions and the like are given the lowest priority.

Seeing as how the new area will surround the river and neighbor the train tracks between Mulberry and Lincoln, I vote for calling it the "Railroad River Natural Area!"  Yeah, that's got a nice ring to it! (I'm just kidding, of course!)
