Like food truck fare?

Me too.

It's different now than it used to be. Back in the day, festivals brought the food trucks that served hot dogs, turkey legs, pizza, cotton candy or something else that was probably deep fried.

Then, hipsterism and foodies entered the picture. Now, food trucks offer everything from gourmet dishes to the aforementioned fried fare. Some are better than others, there's no doubt about that. Sometimes, I think food trucks try to do too much, but in the increasingly crowded mobile food landscape, they have to do something to stand out.

Well, the only limit on the taste testing you can do on Tuesday (Oct. 7, 2014) in Fort Collins' City Park is in what your belly can handle, because there will be almost a dozen food trucks there at one time, and it's for charity.

Proceeds will benefit the FoCo Cafe, a local non profit that has a great goal.

Building community by providing nutritious and delicious meals to the people of Fort Collins regardless of their ability to pay while using local, organic, and sustainably grown ingredients.

"It's a win-win!" said my stomach.

According to the Coloradoan, these are the trucks that will be there.

Ba-Nom-a-Nom, Umami, The Goodness, Nomad Street Cuisine, Big's BBQ, Buzz Thru, Silver Seed, Bear's Backyard Grill, Common-Link
