Food Bank for Larimer County’s Empty Bowls Celebrates 20 Years
The 20th Annual Empty Bowls to benefit Food Bank for Larimer County is Thursday, February 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect Road. Event guests will enjoy hand-crafted soups and have the opportunity to select a pottery bowl made by students in the Poudre School District or by local artists from the City of Fort Collins’ Pottery Studio and the Northern Colorado Pottery Guild.
Tickets for the 20th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser are on sale now and are $55 each or $100 for a pair and can be purchased online at foodbanklarimer.org or by phone at 970.493.4477. For every ticket purchased, the Food Bank can provide over $250 worth of food to a family, senior or child in need.
In honor of the 20th anniversary, this year’s Empty Bowls will also feature live pottery demonstrations with local artists, TS Berger, Nancy Zoller and Diane Findley. All three are members of the Trimble Court Artisan’s Gallery and collectively have nearly 125 years of pottery experience. Event attendees will have the opportunity to bid on the pieces made during the event. Winning bidders will also be able to work with the artist to customize their pottery piece.
