Catastrophic events are always a surprise. As we stand there and see things that our eyes can barely believe and our hearts can hardly process, no matter how bad it becomes, it is an amazing feeling to watch the outpouring of support in every shape and form that comes after these tragic events.

The floods we saw are no exception. They were terrible. The support for those hardest hit will be congruently amazing to offset the devastation.

Rocky Mountain PBS along with Colorado Broadcasters Association, , the Red Cross and Community Food Share are partnering for a telethon.

Phones will only be live from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rocky Mountain PBS will provide their studios for live shots and for Red Cross volunteers to set up their donation call center.

Funds raised will go to the American Red Cross and Community Food Share. All funds collected by Community Food Share will be split between Weld County Food Bank, Food Bank of Larimer County and Community Food Share (Boulder County).

The Governor will stop by Rocky Mountain PBS at approximately 5:15 p.m. to do interviews with all stations.
