Fresh off the 2016 Masters Golf Tournament, and the gorgeous weather we have been having in Northern Colorado, that itch you've had to get the sticks out and play a round needs to be satisfied.

Full disclosure, I have only lived in Northern Colorado for about eight months. My pre-requisites for a golf course include cold beer, a women's yardage of +2700, well-manicured greens, exquisite tee boxes, immaculate fairways, just kidding, really just the cold beer.

One of the best bonuses to playing golf in Colorado, in addition to the beautiful courses, is watching your ball fly further

Here are some of my favorite Northern Colorado golf courses, if you have any to add, please send them my way!

Pelican Lakes is a semi-private club and the first to open within the Windsor city limits. Pelican Lakes has a challenging layout with over 300 surface acres of water, most of it stemming from the Cache la Poudre River that winds its way through the entire course. Four man-made lakes come into play on ten of the holes.
