Famous psychic Sylvia Browne has died at the age of 77.

Browne and her skills were featured on major TV shows of the 1990s, like 'Montel,' 'Larry King Live' and 'Unsolved Mysteries.' Her specialty? Psychic detective work, which found her aiding several missing person cases but not always to accurate results.

Browne's record as a seer was certainly stained. A recent psychic snafu saw her claim that Amanda Berry, who was missing since 2003, was dead. Berry was one of the women held captive by Ariel Castro in his Ohio home, and she eventually turned up alive. Browne attributed it to a mistake.

Her son Chris confirmed that Browne died in the morning (Nov. 20) in San Jose, Calif. She was surrounded by friends and family when she succumbed. See her obituary here.

We can't help but wonder: Did Browne forecast her own death, since she was a psychic? Her career sort of begs that question.

PopCrush sends our best out to Browne's loved ones in this difficult time.
