Family Seeks Hit and Run Driver Who Struck 12 Year Old Girl on Bicycle [VIDEO]

Luckily, no one was severely injured in a collision between a cyclist and a car on Tuesday.

According to De Etta Linzey, her 12 year old daughter Shane was struck by a vehicle in the Safeway parking lot t the corner of Taft Hill and Drake Road on Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 in the afternoon.

Her daugher noticed the car, and stopped her bicycle. The driver then waved her on, and didn't wait long enough before proceeding and ran into the girl's bicycle. After this, the driver rolled down her window and asked if the girl was okay. Before Shane could reply, she drove away.

Shane wasn't able to say what kind of car it was, or what color it was, just that it was a female driving it.

Her ankle swelled, but Shane is healing and should be back to normal soon.

The family filed a police report and are hoping someone comes forward with information to help them find the driver of the vehicle.
