Colorado is known for its drier climate.

Many people who have allergies in the eastern part of the United States find relief when they move to more arid climates, but that doesn't mean that Colorado is without its irritants and allergens.

In the spring and early summer on the Front Range, cotton can wreak havoc on our breathing. Pollen and other allergens still hit some folks hard through the summer.

Throughout, the dry, dusty conditions can even affect those without allergies.

I've talked about sulfur and the way it has prevented me from getting mosquito bites. My wife has found great relief from allergies by using sulfur.

Controlling your home environment is another idea. Removing irritants, keeping them from getting back in, and doing what you can do can help the situation can put you in a better position.

We can't stop the cotton from floating through the air, or the dust from being kicked up, but we can seal our homes, keep it clean, and make sure our nutrition is top notch.
