The 20th annual Virginia Dale Open House and 2nd Western Festival is happening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 13, 2015. The theme this year is early transportation. The notorious Jack Slade, who built the Stage Station, will be speaking at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Also Wayne Sundberg- Mr. History Ft. Collins will be speaking at 10 a.m.

There will be crafts, food,  and games for both the young and the young at heart. Enjoy an authentic chuckwagon and cowboy tepees, sample cowboy beans and cowboy coffee, and experience hands- on interactive exhibits. Learn how to chink a log, make butter, spin, weave and quilt, horse care.  Plus, check out the animals, including baby goats, Daisy the ewe and her heifer companions. Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp will give you wagon rides. Real wagons and model trains! All proceeds to benefit the ongoing restoration of the 1862 Virginia Dale Overland Stage Station.
