2014 Discovery Dash

On September 13th, 2014, join us for some raucous and energetic fun! Fort Collins Museum of Discovery will host its firstDiscovery Dash, an exciting fundraising event featuring a scavenger hunt-style experience, lots of delicious food and drink, and (of course) crazy costumes!

Starting out at the Museum, teams of 4-6 people will receive instructions while they enjoy an adult beverage or two. They will then be sent out with their clue books and BLAZE through Old Town in search of the answers that will lead them to glorious victory. These costumed geniuses will be given 90 minutes to come up with the answers that they seek! Take heed, though: while scouting out answers, they’ll be faced with “Action Activities”, giving participants the chance to earn special badges to add to their personal collection and show off year after year.

Teams will then race back to FCMoD for prizes, drawings, food, drinks, and music in our very own Big Back Yard. We couldn’t think of a better way to cool down from the summer heat than by hosting a fun-filled outdoor evening event! The Discovery Dash supports the mission of the Museum – providing participants a fun and engaging way to learn more about science and the history of Fort Collins – while becoming more familiar with FCMoD and its importance to the community. Your participation in the Discovery Dash will help raise funds supporting programs, events, our Opportunity Fund (which provides memberships, scholarships, and admission to children & families in need), and so much more!
