I love a nice day-trip getaway to Estes Park anytime, especially during the spring and summer. Recently, I discovered The Town of Estes Park offers some pretty cool events to learn more about the town while enjoying the nice weather in the mountains.

Ever wondered why trains don't run through Estes or What F. O. Stanley has to do with Highway 36?

From the rustic architechture of Rocky Mountain National Park to a circle tour with an Estes Park Historian and lunch, it sounds pretty fun.

How about a guided tour of Estes Park from a Historian?

Beginning at the Estes Park Museum, a "mini" circle tour will offer participants an interpreted ride on the scenic Peak to Peak Highway with a stop for coffee and tea at the Old Gallery in Allenspark. Guests will then hop aboard the bus and continue on to the town of Lyons for a walking tour lead by the Lyons Historical Society. The group will eat lunch at Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ in Lyons and return to the Estes Park Museum via Highway 36. Cost and time to be announced.

The Town of Estes Park has several different events on the calendar and details are located on their website.
