Amendment 67, the personhood amendment, has failed.

 GMO LABELS FAILS

Voters rejected casino gambling at a horse racetrack in suburban Denver.

Amendment 68 carried the promise that taxes raised would have funneled $114 million a year to public schools.

It looks like the proposed sales tax that would build an animal shelter for the Larimer Humane Society has passed.

At 10 p.m., the unofficial election results showed 51.27 percent of voters supported the shelter and 48.73 percent did not.

The sales tax, which excludes gas and groceries, will go into effect January 2015 and sunset in six years or less once the money is raised.
