Former Denver Bronco receiver Ed McCaffrey has landed his first high school coaching job at Valor Christian in Highlands Ranch. McCaffrey replaces Rod Sherman who had a record of 57-11 in five seasons, including three 5A Championships. Sherman resigned this past December. In their short history as a school (opened in 2007), Valor Christian has won seven state titles, including a run of five in a row from 2009-2013. They failed to make it to the state championship last season for the first time since 2008.

Ed is certainly familiar with championships having won three Super Bowl's in his 13-year NFL career, including two with the Broncos in 1997 and 1988.

The McCaffrey's are a familiar name at the school as Ed's sons, Max (receiver for the 49'ers), Christian (running back for the Panthers), and Dylan (quarterback at Michigan) all played at Valor Christian. His youngest son, Luke, is entering his senior year and is expected to be the starting quarterback.
