Donate Blood In Loveland This Saturday and Get Free Beer!

Well, now you’re talking!  Give a little blood, get some beer! That’s the ‘draw’ to get you in to donate some blood with Bonfils this Saturday!

You’ll have some time this weekend, before the big storm hits (or doesn’t), to help out Bonfils Blood Center and get yourself a free beer during National Blood Donor Month!

They’re calling it 'Give a Pint, Get a Pint!’ Bonfils will be set up at the west Wal Mart in Loveland, on Denver Avenue, on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  Stop by and make a blood donation, and you will receive a certificate good for a free pint of beer at Rock Bottom or Old Chicago!

I like the ‘outside of the box’ thinking that Bonfils has been doing as of late. 'Give a Pint, Get a Pint!’ is brilliant!  They’ll tap your veins, then you can go out and get something out of a tap! Maybe you can enjoy a nice--- Red Ale!  Get it?

Plus, think of the good you’ll be doing by donation blood!

Here’s a true story from the Bonfils website:

Dan was driving home from work in the summer of 2012 when a car moved across the center lane and hit him head on at 45 mph. He was immediately rushed to St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood for lifesaving surgery, Dan received over 120 units of blood to keep him alive. He remained in a medicated coma but awoke after 37 days and was able to be there for his wife who gave birth to their first son a few weeks later.

“There is no way to truly say thank you to those generous donors who gave a part of themselves so that people like me could live. Their gift allows me to enjoy things that I would have missed, like the birth of my son, had it not been for them.”
