Do You Love the 80’s? This Memorial Day Weekend, We’re Giving You a Chance to Relive It!

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a HUGE fan of 80's music. I'm not just talking about bubble gum pop or hair band rock, I am talking about all of it!

This weekend on TRI 102.5 we bring back the 80's for our first "I LOVE THE 80'S WEEKEND" being brought to you by the Outlets at Loveland! Starting at noon Friday and going until 7pm Memorial Day Monday, our focus will be diving into the 80's and playing all the music that made the decade as great as it was.

This made me think of the 80's songs that still are my favorites of all time. Here are my top three songs from the decade of Aqua Net and Punky Brewster:

3.) HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS - THE POWER OF LOVE

This song always brings you back to the movie Back to the Future and watching Marty McFly going back in time to save his family and take on Biff. If there is one movie from the 80's that I wish had a sequel in 2015, it would be this one.

2.) WHITESNAKE - HERE I GO AGAIN

First off, whenever this song comes on the radio I always crank it up as loud as I can without blowing the subwoofer in my mini van. Plus, will we ever be able to forget Tawny Kitaen climbing all over the car in the video?

1.) JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP - JACK AND DIANE

Here's another song that as soon as you hear the opening instruments to the song, you instantly want to turn it up. This is the epitome of a Summer time song and still is one of the best songs on the radio, even in 2015.
