Like all parenting decisions, there are as many opinions on how many kids to have as there are people.

I know people who say that you have to have more than one child so that they'll have someone in their immediate family after the parents die.

It makes sense.

I've also heard that the difference in difficulty in raising two or three kids compared to one is massive. The argument there being that if the parents can remain a little more sane, maybe the one child does better because the parents are less crazed.

Also a good point.

Now that I have one child, I am really wondering if we want to have a second. I don't want my little man to be all alone after we go, but I also see it in many other ways.

So, I thought I'd ask you! Please feel free to elaborate and insert your own answers.
