I was at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins last night to do a little investigating for my blog series on the Most Haunted Places in Northern Colorado. What I found was one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots in the city. As I was driving around the winding paths of the cemetery I came upon a pair of deer who were grazing between the headstones.

The deer didn't seem bothered at all that I was there. I shut off my truck and just watched them for several minutes. They looked up at me as if to say, "Hello old friend. Make yourself at home. Please don't mind us. We are just finishing our dinner."

They never did leave, even after I started my truck again and drove on. Sometimes you find true beauty in the most unexpected place at the most unexpected time. I will return someday and hopefully my new friends will be there to greet me.
