It's not just for making beer, but here in Northern Colorado, when we think of fermentation science, we think of the amazing processes that create some of our favorite brews. If you drink the suds, and are at all like me, when you are not in this area, you are raving about the amazing beers made here.

It's not just beer that results from the magical process of fermentation. There are other alcoholic favorites like wine, but many other foods like cheeses result from it. CSU has seen students grow hops for diploma's and now may offer a fermentation science major.

According to the Coloradoan, there is enough demand to continue through a few more steps that could result in the university offering the major as early as next fall.
