I was a little sad when I learned that Beach House in Fort Collins was no more.  But now news is slowing coming out about what will occupy that space in Old Town; and I'll admit, I'm kind of excited.

The Coloradoan reports that the old Beach House spot will be occupied by a new ale house that serves both Breckenridge and Wynkoop brews.  The owners say the establishment will be completely unique, and cater to Fort Collins residents.

“The concept for this location is new; it is being tailored specifically to the Fort Collins community,” said Lisa Ruskaup, Concept Director at Breckenridge-Wynkoop, LLC in a prepared statement. “Our goal is to restore the building to its authentic beauty, (and) incorporate a complimentary palate of rich, warm tones while creatively re-purposing reclaimed materials.”

Samantha Harber, marketing associate and event manager for Breckenridge-Wynkoop, LLC, said they plan to incorporate a lot of vegetarian and gluten-free options into the new ale house's menu.

Construction is currently underway, with a plan to be open by springtime.
