I-25 is set to begin getting some renovations in Nothern Colorado, including two express lanes, in a $300M project that will last for a few years.

The day after Labor Day, 2018, CDOT will begin the new project: North I-25 Express Lanes: Johnstown to Fort Collins to make improvements to the interstate.

Overall improvements will include:

Rehabilitate or Reconstruct General Purpose Lanes

Adding one northbound express lane and one southbound express lane

Construction of inside and outside shoulders in both north and south directions

They'll be doing A LOT - from the interchange at Highway 402 in Johnstown/Loveland to the interchange at Prospect in Fort Collins.
The project will begin on September 4, 2018, with the full closure, in both directions, of the east frontage road between Highway 392 in Windsor to Crossroads Boulevard in Loveland.
The project's main construction should take about one year. Things will officially be done, with tolls in place on the express lanes, in 2022.
Keep up on the of the project, to help avoid mayhem, from CDOT HERE!
