Green Mountain Falls is about 2 hours 20 minutes from Fort Collins between Manitou Springs and Woodland Park.

Leaving the job are Police Marshal Tim Bradley, and three part-time volunteer officers. The mass exodus occurred on April 14th, according to KXRM-TV. They say they left "over policy" and "unhappiness" with Jane Newberry, the new mayor of the town.

Citizens were informed at a town hall meeting but at the time, no reason was given. Green Mountain Falls is home to about 700 residents, but in the summer, the population grows to about 1,200.

Meanwhile, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office will continue to answer calls for service just like they would any other district in the county.
