Colorado State Patrol Offers Fort Collins Victim Ride to Retrieve Stolen Car
A Colorado State Patrol officer went the extra mile to help a theft victim from Fort Collins retrieve her stolen car.
According to the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page, an unidentified female reported her car stolen from a business parking lot. Later in the evening, FCPS Officer Renn spotted the car traveling on I-25.
While off-duty, Officer Renn followed the vehicle until Colorado State Patrol could respond. CSP troopers stopped the vehicle just north of Longmont and arrested 2 suspects, both unidentified.
The car's owner had no way to retrieve it, as this is her only form of long-distance transportation. So CSP Officer Chernak went to her house and gave her a ride to pick up the vehicle.
We'd like to thank these Colorado State Patrol and Fort Collins Police Services officers for going above and beyond for this Northern Colorado resident!
