Colorado Springs K9 Helps Police Take Down Man Armed with Crossbow

A police dog helped officers arrest a threatening man armed with a crossbow in Colorado Springs.

Officers found the man pacing around an empty parking lot on East Bijou Street and Parkside Drive Tuesday afternoon. Police say the man threatened to kill one of the employees working at a business across the street with the crossbow.

The suspect agreed to put the crossbow down, but would not obey further officer commands. That's when K-9 Diesel was deployed and bit the man, allowing officers to detain him.
