This is a chance to ski what makes Arapahoe Basin live up to its nickname - 'The Legend'.

Late spring snows fall. A few days or weeks pass, and in that time, Ski Patrollers do the work necessary to open it to the public. This is best case scenario!

It's all thanks to Mother Nature, and Ski Patrol. This is such a dangerous activity, and without Ski Patrol, most of us aren't skilled and experienced enough to figure out how to do this safely. Without Ski Patrol I would be nervous about areas that are this steep, this rocky and this snowy. They are very dangerous to access, as we saw with the avalanche that killed 5 a few weeks ago.
