Colorado Skiing and Snowboarding – The Snow is Great

I skied Breckenridge over the weekend, and man, was I on the chairlift with some negative Nancies. You'd think Mike Nelson announced that we'll never see snow again from the way these people were complaining. In my experience, January is rarely a great snow month for the resorts.Even last year, the best snow year EVER in Colorado, after a massive Thanksgiving snowstorm and a few dumps in December, January was  spotty. For a short while it seemed as if the early snow would mean little to the overall season. Then February and March came, and with them, more snow than we've ever seen.

So, at this point, from my perspective, the snow in the high country is great. Okay, almost great. Not quite, but almost.

Two more dumps and we are set to go.
