How many times have you lost something that was very valuable to you, only to have it returned by some good Samaritan who is more interested in helping you than themselves?
For me, it has happened quite a few times. Once or twice with a wallet. I've had my friends receive phone calls from my lost phone and the person who found it. There was also one time, more than a year after a rainy show at Mishawaka, I was up there eating a burger and mentioned to the server that I had left a Penn State golf umbrella there a long time ago. They disappeared for a moment and came back to my table with it. Yep, it was still there.

In a not so surprising turn, a man in Denver who found a military medal under a bus bench is seeking to return it to it's owner. The medal could be from recent conflicts in the Middle East, or it could be come from a war long ago.

There was another piece of evidence that may indicate that the medal could be from around World War II. There is a ribbon with a high school name on it from 1940. That could mean that a person who graduated from high school in 1940 earned the medal some years later during WWII.

If you have any info that could lead to finding the owner of this medal, please contact Purple Heats Reunited, an organization that seeks to return lost medals to their veterans who may have lost them.
