Thanksgiving Thursday leads to Black Friday.

Black Friday leads to a weekend of deals that many people skip because they think they may find even better deals on Cyber Monday.

It's all about the purchase and the savings for these consumer holidays. It didn't take long for all of these 'day of the week' deals to take a charitable turn.

For Coloradoans, it can take two charitable turns.

Giving Tuesday, at least according to the website GivingTuesday.org, is the day after Cyber Monday.

Colorado Gives Day is one day and one week after Cyber Monday.

Many of the recipients that are listed on the website for Colorado Gives Day are ones that we have worked with and supported throughout the years. Many of them have taught me what I know about charity.

Giving Tuesday and Colorado Gives Day, though a week apart, both sound pretty excellent. As the video above explains, Giving Tuesday doesn't have to be about giving money. There are so many other ways to give, and as it suggests, they can make a huge difference in the happiness of the world.

If you want to make a monetary difference, it's easy to do that as well.

And don't underestimate the impact that a small donation can make. Besides the financial help, it could simply brighten the life of a volunteer who needed that extra boost to bring the enthusiasm that makes the difference for that day.
