February 14th is a Saturday this year (2015).

And you know what that means! No, it's not time to make a reservation. It's time for a rental!

You won't find it streaming on Netflix. You'll find a few clips on the always reliable Hulu. I'm talking about the oft forgotten Saturday the 14th.

Some searching will bring up the trailer (above) and the whole 1981 horror spoof classic (below) that features a young, but still bald, Jeffrey Tambor. I love Jeffrey Tambor in every way shape and form, including in this B feature. Every time I see the 14th fall on a Saturday, my mind goes back to this movie. Probably because, when I was a kid, my cable provider played it a lot.

It's not a great movie, but neither is TV programming sometimes, so as a kid who just wanted to watch the tube, I spent hours in front of this flick.

Today we have Scary Movie parts one to five, and it spoofs everything from Scream to Paranormal Activity. Back then, the biggest horror franchise of the day involved a young camper that didn't make it back from a canoe trip. Or something. He liked to use landscaping tools to murder wandering counselors and teens who just got done making out. Ch-ch-ch. Ha-ha-ha.

Here's the whole movie! Thanks YouTube!
