March was a big snow month for Fort Collins.

And big snow means snow removal for the city. When they have to move snow, sometimes, they have to move cars.

Notice I didn't say 'tow' cars. I said 'move' cars. This isn't saying that if you park in an illegal spot you won't get towed, or a ticket. You may, and it is even more likely for you to find yourself with a citation if you overstay the two hours that are allowed on many of the main streets of Old Town.

However, as you'll hear in the video above, the City of Fort Collins is in a forgiving and educating mood right now. They want people to know that they need to heed the information contained on the street signs around Old Town.

This story came about because I saw my friend's post on Facebook about how the City of Fort Collins, during snow removal operations, moved her car. They didn't tow and impound it. They moved it. At no charge to her.

Besides a little confusion as to where her car might be, there was no harm and no foul.

Just another reason why it is so great to call Fort Collins home.
