A threat this weekend made over 911 to the Aurora police force has authorities on high alert. According to ABC 7 Denver, the call came into the Aurora Police Department Sunday afternoon and the threat was immediately relayed to officers and neighboring communities.

7News has been told that since the threat occurred, police procedures have been changed to focus on officer safety. The threat, along with recent incidents across the country, have played a factor in placing the police department on high alert.

In the phone call, the party stated that they would shoot any police officer that they saw by themselves.
