Child Dies From Apparent Drowning in Fort Collins Hotel Pool
A four-year-old child apparently drowned in a Fort Collins hotel swimming pool over the weekend. On Sunday evening, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies and medical personnel responded to the Rodeway Inn at 3836 East Mulberry Street, after the male child was pulled from the swimming pool unresponsive.
The child’s parent and a motel staff member were performing CPR when emergency personnel arrived. The child was transported to a local hospital and later flown to Children’s Hospital. The child was pronounced dead after never regaining consciousness.
Larimer County Sheriff's Office investigators are leading the investigation. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. The child and his family were visiting the area from Colorado Springs.
