The Loveland Chamber of Commerce selected Alice Mueller, a Mountain View High School senior, as the 2016 Miss Loveland Valentine. Mueller is the 55th Miss Loveland Valentine.

Miss Loveland Valentine is Loveland’s spokesperson as she makes many presentations throughout the community. Mueller will receive scholarship funds toward her college education awarded from Ted and Mabel Thompson’s Trust. Mueller will be accompanied to all of her engagements by the official Miss Valentine chaperones, Norma Jean and Chet Goodheart.

Tradition

For more than 50 years Miss Valentine has met the Governor, presenting him with a special gift from Loveland and an official Loveland Valentine card to highlight the 2016 Valentine Re-mailing Program. For 48 of those years, she made a formal presentation to the Senate. . She leads the Pledge of Allegiance to the House of Representatives at the Colorado state capitol.

About This Year's Winner

Not only is Alice Mueller the president of both her school’s National Honor Society and student council, but she also excels in extracurricular activities. She is in her school’s pit orchestra, is first chair of her school’s symphonic band, member of the marching band and swim team. She gives back to the community by volunteering with the Maple Terrace Kids Club, mentoring at risk youth and serving as a volunteer lifeguard at the Loveland Lake-to-Lake Triathalon.
