The weather has been getting colder, and for me that usually means getting lazier. I have quickly learned that you can be lazy around the house for a day or two, but if you go more than that with a 4 and 2-year-old they will start bouncing off walls literally. Happy Friday! I can't believe we've already reached the end of another week (not that I'm complaining)!

The Fern Lake Fire in Rocky Mountain National Park continues to burn, and is currently estimated to be at 30% containment.

First of all, thank you for helping me decide which movie to see over the weekend! Voting ended in a three-way tie; so, after a very complex tie-breaking process (eenie-meenie-mienie-moe), a decision was finally made. Here's what I thought of Paranormal Activity 4.

I know I said last night that I was really excited to see Paranormal Activity 4; but I've been looking at the movie listings, and there are actually a few movies I want to see. Now I can't decide! Luckily, I have you to help me...

I've lived in Colorado all my life, so I'm no stranger to deer crossing roads. It's just something you have to be prepared for if you live in the same area as wild animals. Luckily, I've never hit one, though I have had some close calls over the years. The same can't be said for the woman in this story, however.

I'm not really one for haunted houses, but I love a good ghost story. That's why this year, I think I might work some time in between horror movies and Monster Bash to take a ghost tour! Care to join me?

I enjoy scary movies. Especially good ones. There are few things better than a well-made horror movie in the middle of the night on Halloween, in my opinion. But I've come across a lot of really bad horror movies over the years, and it really ruins the whole movie-going experience for me. That's why, this Halloween, I'll be picking my movies carefully.

When it comes to Presidential elections, I base a large part of my decision-making process on the debates. To me, they're the most telling part of the entire campaign. I feel like you can tell a lot about candidates from putting them on the spot a little more. Some folks, though, already have their mind made up; and the debates don't really matter.

I know it's kind of hard to believe, but we're only a couple weeks from the election. Now, I haven't counted the number of political campaign signs I see on a daily basis; but, especially this close to the election, I know I see a lot. A whole lot. Well, apparently, some people in Larimer County can't just leave those signs alone, and instead are stealing or vandalizing the ones they don't agree with. Really? Really?

I always get criticized for breaking out the Christmas movies and albums too early. This year, I've actually managed to hold off about two weeks longer than I usually do. But the holiday bug is starting to bite, and I can't wait to get into the Christmas spirit any longer!

I have certain weaknesses when it comes to snack food. Usually, I'm pretty good at resisting temptation; but with these few snacks, resistance is futile. It's just a part of my life I've come to accept. One such irresistible treat for me are Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Now a health teacher is trying to get them banned from her middle school; and in some silly way, I'm kind of upset!
