Section of the Poudre Trail to be Closed Starting Wednesday in Windsor

Some work will be done in Windsor this week that will cause part of the Poudre Trail to be closed for about a week. A section of the Poudre River Trail, one mile east of State Highway 257 will be closed due to the Town of Windsor sewer interceptor project. The closure will occur from Wednesday, June 13th through Tuesday, June 26th.

Highway 392 Closed From County Road 13 to County Road 3 In Windsor Today

If you are planning a trip to our neck of the woods today, Windsor, you may want to either reschedule or come up with an alternate route to the commonly traveled Main Street (Highway 392). The milling and repaving project will continue in Windsor today with some major closures most likely causing delays in travel.

CDOT Performing Road Repairs on Main Street in Windsor

Expect some delays as you drive on Highway 392/Main Street in Windsor over the next week or so. If you have driven through Windsor in the last day or so you have seen some construction work along Highway 392/Main Street. We got some information on what to expect in the upcoming couple of weeks and what is being done from the Colorado Department of Transportation or CDOT.

’100 Days of Heat’ DUI Crackdown Starts This Weekend

Northern Colorado law enforcement agencies begin the ’100 Days of Heat’ DUI enforcement campaign this weekend, traditionally one of deadliest weekends on Colorado highways. The campaign will last through the summer, ending Labor Day weekend. In 2011, 67 Coloradoans were killed in alcohol-related crashes during the summer months.

Kodak Moving New York Work to Windsor Location

Eastman Kodak Co. said it will close down one of it's operations in Rochester and move that work to Windsor, Colorado. Part of the Rochester photography division will cease operations in New York and that work will be moved to Kodak's location in Windsor.

Colorado to Offer ‘Fallen Hero’ License Plate in Honor of Fallen Weld County Deputy

A new Colorado license plate that was designed in Windsor will be available soon. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed a bill on Thursday, establishing a Colorado Law Enforcement Fallen Heroes license plate.  Larimer County Sheriff's Office Deputy Basil Marciniak thought of the idea for the license plate in after the death of Weld County Sheriff's Deputy Sam Brownlee.

Gas Prices Dropping in Colorado

Have you noticed that gas prices have dropped over the last week or so? This is a trend I'd like to see continue! Our studio is right across from a Shell/7-Eleven gas station in Windsor so I can keep an eye on the gas price sign daily and I'm loving the downward trend I have been seeing.

My watching the sign across the street is far from in-depth research, but last week it was at $3.95, today it is at $3.87. Will the downward trend continue?

Get ready for an exciting summer in Windsor. The Windsor Museum located near Windsor Lake at Boardwalk Park in Windsor is getting upgraded. The Town of Windsor is restoring some of Windsor's history. You will see some of the old photos and pieces of Windsor's history, but the museum is adding some new items for this new season.
