Colorado Storm Snow Totals

With parts of the state receiving up to 50 inches of snow in the last 48 hours, Northern Colorado was spared the brunt of the storm, with the Denver area getting hit much harder. Fort Collins and Loveland picked up much more than did Greeley and Windsor. DIA is reportedly getting back to business usual. Click ahead for area snow totals.

‘Wingless Flight’ Could Get You From Fort Collins/Loveland Airport to DIA, Bypass Security Lines

Are you sick of spending a hour to drive all the way to Denver International Airport, then another 20 minutes on a shuttle, only to have to spend another 45 minutes or more waiting in security lines? Relief could be on the way.

According to the Coloradoan, a new program will be tested in 2012 that would let travelers check bags, go through security and board a bus at the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport and be dropped off in a secure area at Denver International Airport. It’s being called ‘wingless flight’.

Today, we had a father daughter selling the delicious treats in our office. This year, the cookies are already on-hand, so you get the cookies right when you order them.

Windsor High School Adds a Salad Bar to the Cafeteria, Part of the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move’ Initiative

Thanks to a Windsor High School student council member,  a salad bar is now available at Windsor High School. 16-year-old Amanda Ricketson put together a video presentation about salad bars and nutrition, and with a little help from the director of nutrition services at the Windsor-Severance School District and a grant, a salad bar is now available at Windsor High School.

I remember taking my dog to “doggie” school and what fun it was many years ago. I was in my early teens, and I can remember what a great experience it was for my dog and for me. The Town of Windsor Recreation Department is set to offer dog training classes for children starting this month.

There's fresh snow on the ground and it's time to celebrate the spirit of Christmas today in Windsor. Things kick off with Santa Claus himself arriving in a horse-drawn carriage this afternoon. Live reindeer, carolers, carriage rides, photos, clogging, free hot chocolate, the lighting of the town Christmas tree are just a few of the holiday events planned for today.
