People are voting to bring a very special program to their college campus.

Camp Kesem helps kids' whose parents have cancer cope with the situation. It's a great deal. One of my co-workers and friends sent me a link to the voting page, because Colorado State is in the running, but is far behind the leading schools, and voting ends soon. It only goes through Friday night (02/05/16).

Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. We are the only national organization dedicated to this unique population – supporting children with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community.

Cancer affects so many of us, but it's not only the people who are diagnosed with the deadly disease that suffer. Family, friends, relations; so many have to deal with the pain that it brings.

Camp Kesem focuses on kids. If they are to lose a parent, or have a parent who is in recovery, Camp Kesem helps them deal. These kids, and so many of us who face traumatic or difficult life events, don't know how to cope with them. These aren't instinctual skills. They are learned, and that is how Camp Kesem helps.

Colorado State University is a finalist in a web voting contest to see where the next branch of Camp Kesem will be installed.
