We'll have rain, snow and a hi of 38 today THEN the first freeze of fall tonight with a low forecast near 28. We'll be in the 50's and 60's for the weekend, with Saturday night's low around 32.

The first fall freeze is always a monumental event in the barn as the freeze tends to kill -not all- but many of the flies.

I'm not sure my tomato plants are worth saving, but they are covered...by a horse blanket. Some other chores in addition to CTP (cover the plants) include: DTH (disconnect the hoses) TOS (turn off sprinklers) and in my case, BIG (bring in geraniums).

As always, I got my information from the National Weather Service Website, which noted
that  because the information the site provides is necessary to protect life and property, it will be updated and maintained during the Federal Government shutdown.
