The Budweiser Clydesdales family welcomed its first foal of 2016 this week.

The new baby, named "Mac," was born at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri, on Tuesday, joining Anheuser-Busch's herd of over 160 Clydesdales.

According to Anheuser-Busch, Mac's name is "a nod to the iconic legacy of the Budweiser Clydesdales, the most macro of all icons."

He will learn his Budweiser Clydesdale skills and knowledge at the ranch.

The Budweiser Clydesdales tradition began in 1933 when they made their first-ever appearance as a gift from August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch to their father in celebration of the Prohibition repeal.
