According to a personal friend of mine, Justin King, beginning Friday, November 25th, Boy Scouts from Troop 184 will be hosting a Christmas Tree lot in the eastern most parking lot of Dairy Queen, located in the 300 block of East Eisenhower Blvd in Loveland.

Justin King mentioned:

The lot’s regular patrons may have noticed that last year there was no “BSA” tree lot in Loveland as there had been for the last 45 years

Troop 184 is stepping in and re-starting this annual tradition.  2011 marks the first year of the lots’ existence off of Eisenhower Blvd (Highway 34).  Opening day will be November 25th, aka “Black Friday,” from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Tree Hours AFTER “Black Friday”  through December 18th are:

  • Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM
  • Saturdays from 10 AM to 8 PM
  • Sundays from 12 PM to 6 PM from

Justin also added:

Any person registered in scouting that shows up to the lot in their uniform, or any active/retired armed forces personnel with their ID card will receive a $5 discount off of any tree and proceeds from this lot will go directly to the young men that are selling the fresh Christmas trees. This fundraiser helps the Scouts pay their own way through the Scouting program; go on weekend camp outs, buy personal camping gear, purchase books, merit badge materials, attend week long summer camps, take special “High Adventure” trips, and keep a bulk of the financial burden off of their parents.

Your continued support of the scouting program overall is extremely appreciated!  BSA Troop 184 is looking forward to seeing you stop by the lot, but no matter where you purchase your tree, the boys will also be picking up Christmas trees after the holiday season in the Loveland area on Saturday, January 7th.

Please contact BSA Troop 184 to get your home on the list for pickup and/or to get further details on purchasing your Christmas tree this year.
