Bruno Mars released his wildly successful debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ nearly two years ago, which means it’s about time for the hitmaker to begin preparing the follow-up. Mars announced via Twitter that his next record is “halfway done.”

The ‘Grenade’ singer tweeted a progress update this week:

Then he followed with what we presume is a joke about the possible album title:

Besides creating his own material, Mars has been busy writing and producing for other artists. He worked with Dr. Luke on Adam Lambert‘s new single, ‘Never Close Our Eyes,’ and appeared on tracks by Eminem‘s Bad Meets Evil duo and Snoop Dogg with Wiz Khalifa.

‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ went platinum and made Mars one of the most successful male performers in pop music. Over the course of two years, the album nabbed a whopping 11 Grammy nominations and won the award for Best Male Pop Performance for ‘Just the Way You Are.’
