In a game where the Broncos could only muster 219 yards in total offense, the Denver defense were the clear cut winners as the Broncos beat Baltimore 19-13 Sunday afternoon.

Peyton Manning was 24 of 40 for 175 yards and didn't throw a completion for a touchdown. He did end up throwing one interception in the game.

Baltimore's Joe Flacco was 18 of 32 for 117 yards with two interceptions.

Denver's Brandon McManus could be considered the MVP of the game as hit field goal attempts of 57 and 56 yards. Without those two field goals being successful, we could be talking about a much different outcome to the opening game of the season.

Injuries during the game are what we'll be watching out for as we head into week two. Demarcus Ware had to leave the game with about one minute remaining after pressuring Joe Flacco. CJ Anderson also was limping throughout a good part of the game but should be OK for the game against Kansas City.

The Broncos next game will be against the Chiefs for Thursday Night Football in just four days. Let's hope the offense can gel more going into that very important game after the Chiefs topped Houston on Sunday.
